After twenty days of vigorous debate on the present day turmoil in the Middle East & North Africa and it’s relation to the European Colonial era, our debate has finally come to an end. The voting has now closed.
Since its inception, the debate has been very unpredictable up until the last moment. 51% of the participants have concluded that the present day turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa does not have it’s roots in the European Colonial era, as argued by Mr. Tarek Fatah.
However, we cannot ignore the rest of 49% views put forward by our audience and defended by Dr. Mark Katz that the roots of the present day turmoil are in the European Colonial era and their actions.
